Every year, my family and I try to experience and explore one fascinating city. This year we traveled to the beautiful city of Istanbul, Turkey. The ancient ruins, the culture and food were seriously out of this WORLD! A picture is worth a thousand words, so have a peek at the photos from my recent adventure and feel free to share any comments below! Xo
View from the hotel room overlooking the Bosphorus
Dinner at Tuğra- an opulent Turkish restaurant located inside our hotel (Ciragan Palace)
Best rice pilaf EVER!
Hagia Sophia (The Church of the Holy Wisdom)
Inside the Basilica Cistern- if you look closely, you can see the carp fish swimming in the water. The carp eat all the algae!
Inside the Grand Bazaar- I found it quite challenging to leave this place..
An assortment of herbs, spices and teas
It looks great always wanted to go there, I hope for next year 🙂 Every one talks about Grand Bazaar must be really great.
What’s the best time to visit it, isn’t it hot in summer?
by the way I posted the link on http://tra.velne.ws hope you don’t mind.
Best,
M.
There are so many fun little stores inside the Grand Bazaar! It was 35 degrees C most days, but as long as you don’t mind the heat, I’d say go in the summer 🙂 there was a beautiful breeze so it wasn’t that bad.
Thanks for the link! Will check it out 🙂
Beautiful images!
Looks a wonderful place and all these herbs, spices and teas makes me want to taste them !
Very beautiful. On a pic Inside the Basilica Cistern at first I saw fish, but wasn’t sure what I see and then I read and I was sure that I see fish.
Nice post 🙂
